Black Jack Heroes
In the past several years, the game of black jack became very popular. With the advent of the Internet, the successful heroes of blackjack easily became world famous. People all over the world could appreciate such heroism because blackjack enjoys such incredible world popularity. In 2002, this situation brought about the creation of the "Blackjack Hall of Fame". The final voting was completed on January of 2003. After that a blackjack ball was held which was hosted by the world famous author; Max Rubin. In 2003 seven members were inducted. After that two more members were inducted per year until 2006, when a new rule stipulated that only one new member could be elected each year.
The Members
The members consisted of a combination of world famous blackjack players, mathematicians, authors and innovators. Thus, Tommy Hyland, who was inducted in 2002, was chosen for being the manager of one of the longest running blackjack teams, whereas Peter Griffin, a mathematician was chosen for being the author of 'The Theory of BlackJack'.
The Location
So, where is this 'Hall of Fame' located? It is physically located in the state of California at the Barona Casino in San Diego. It is a site that is probably going to become a semi-mandatory honorary pilgrimage for all devoted blackjack players.
